New Name, Same Great Stuff

In an effort to make sure we get the word out, the name of the site changed. Why? Because there was a mistaken perception that you actually needed to be a mother to want to visit this site. Which of course is not true: you just gotta be interested in girls' and women's ice hockey. Whether or not you're a muthah is not my concern...

Free Learn-to-Play Introductory Clinics

Posted by Your Webmistress on Saturday, July 10, 2010

Suburban Ice - Farmington is conducting three free Have Fun - Play Hockey introductory clinics. August 21st 10:30-11:30am is strictly girls-only, August 21st 12:30-1:30pm is co-ed for kids age eight and under, and August 28th 10:30-11:30am is co-ed open for all ages. Why does this matter? Because our beloved sport will wither and die without ensuring new players keep joining the game to take the spots left empty by departing players. These clinics take the fear out of trying, because the clinics are completely free and they'll even provide all the equipment you need for giving it a try! New players only, please, and you need to pre-register (so they can make sure they have the right sized stuff for you to wear). Call the rink at 248-888-1400.
